I purchased two of the SKB 2SKB-4814W bags after reading on the net that they would fit all or most cart bags. My wifes cart bag fits nicely in the case if you take items out of the side pockets ( larger side pockets on her bag ). My cart bag is a Ping Pioneer bag and we have to take everything out of the side and back pockets and its takes two of us to put enough pressure on the top to get the case closed. They are very well made cases and I am pleased with them except for the misleading information I read were they said they were made for cart bags. I expected the companies who advertise these bags would have checked with the most popular and well known bag manufactures before making this claim.

Just ordered 4814W Deluxe case. It is different than photo here or on SKB web site (does not have the enlarged lower half). I have a stand bag, so I wanted a case like the SKB 2SKB-4812WS but wanted the TSA heavy locks on the deluxe model, so I ordered the 4814. The case delivered looks like the 4812 (but isn't because it has the TSA locks). So I got exactly what I was really wanting, but not what I ordered. If you are ordering this case because you have a cart bag, it will not fit in this narrower case. The box was labeled 2SKB-4814W, but I really don't know what I got because it is a hybrid of the 4812 and the 4814.
<br />
<br />2-weeks later -- Travel Update: After one trip involving several airports, the case is in great shape. When packing though, two points: (1) I have the popular Callaway tilt-bottom stand bag, and I could only squeeze one golf shoe into the case. Next time I travel, I'll have to use a smaller carry bag. (2) I have the Callaway ft-i driver, with one inch extension. To fit in the case, I had to remove the driver cover and lay the club alongside the golf bag for it to fit lengthwise. In summary, if you order the case and don't get the enlarged bottom half (as shown in the picture), you're going to have trouble fitting a regular stand bag in the case, and you'll have to pack your shoes with your clothes.

This is the best travel case for golf clubs. It is like a super hard sided Samsonite suitcase for golf clubs with a far more robust TSA lock than you will see on your typical Samsonite suitcase. The only down side is that because it is solid and rigid, it takes up a lot of space when it is empty.
<br />
<br />So you have a choice. Travel with a cloth golf bag that you can fold up when it is empty and allow your clubs to be abused. Or travel with one of these babies knowing that your clubs are safe and sound and pay the bell man to hold the empty bag in storage. If you think this is a choice, you don't love your clubs . . . or you didn't pay for them.

Traveled with the case the first time this week. There is not much room left for any extra's once you put a standard size bag in the case. The club head area is surrounded with foam, but a towel wrapped around the club heads will prevent rattles and clicks. There is no name tag or name tag area on the bag, you need to supply your own.
<br />
<br />The TSA lock is a bit still and I felt I had to use it to prevent the latch from popping open. The other 2 non-locking latches work fine though. No problem with the locks at the air port. Overall the case is what I was looking for. It's got a lifetime warranty on parts too, but I hope not to have to use it.

I received the item in a timely manner and the cost at Amazon was much better other sites. My initial satisfaction with the case is very good although I have not traveled with it yet. I have a friend with a similar model from SKB and he was satisfied so I am expecting similar results. The overall case an latches seem very secure to me.
